Let me start by saying that Highland Homes has given us a wonderful experience with building our first home! After looking at a few different builders, we felt that Highland was the best fit for us. Valerie was the consultant who answered the phone when I originally called and she was extremely helpful with providing all of the information on how the home building process works and telling us about all of the current promotions. We met with her to view the model home a few days later and she did an amazing job of showing us what was included and what was upgraded. She is the sweetest person you will ever meet! We signed our contract with the community sales manager, Tina, a few days later. Tina was such a pleasure to have by our side during the whole process of building our home. She was continuously sending us updates on the construction, including photos! What made our relationship with Tina so great is that she told us she was going to hold our hand from the day we signed our contract—she definitely kept her end of the deal. Tina went above and beyond to make sure that she had our best interest in mind by informing us that we could switch to a different loan just weeks before our house was complete. We were able to get our whole down payment back since she put in the extra effort to have our loan changed. How awesome!!  Both Tina and Valerie made a great team with us. They were both very professional and helped with making our dream of homeownership come true. Tina and Valerie, we cannot thank you enough for everything! Also, thank you to Highland Homes!

Last year we started two very big journeys, we never thought that buying a house and getting married in the same year was going to be such a Big thing. We were planning a wedding and searching for our dream home. Being in our twenties and buying our first home felt intimidating but we were ready. We actually bought the same model as the model home, a Remington. And we just kept visiting over and over because we really were at home! She was always available and gave us answers right away. We know this because her genuine personality set her aside from all the other people that we met along the way in this industry.

Once we purchased our home we were the happiest people on earth, we felt accomplished and like real adults. The best part was that we were able to close on our home right after our wedding. We got married and literally came home to our new house. We are absolutely in love with it and always want to spend all of our time at home because we love it so much... Highland Homes will forever be part of our life story, we know we can refer anyone to Cheri and your company with full trust that they will be taken care of.

My name is Kathleen V. and I closed on my dream home, the Parker, about a month ago. I'm writing [to] you to share with you about our phenomenal experience! We got the opportunity to work with [New Home Specialist] Tina Neher, who was absolutely incredible!!! I will never forget the first day walking in the Parker model home at Glennwood Terrace.

We had just moved from Sarasota, FL where we sold our home and were currently renting, here in Lakeland. I would constantly look at homes online, knowing we wanting to be homeowners again here in Lakeland. We came across Highland Homes and decided to look at its beautiful model home, just for fun. In Sarasota, the cost of living is very high, so we could only ever dream of building a new home as nice, coming from a place like that.

We walked in the Parker and were greeted with a sweet and warm smile. Tina instantly brought us in to see the model home and connected with us as individuals. She got to know us and was very genuine. She was very personable and shared her own experiences in parenting, as our little girl, our firstborn, was just 3 months at that time. I remember telling Tina how that home would be an absolute dream, but how we could never afford it. "How could you truly know without trying to get pre-qualified??", she asked. Tina was right! She got all of our information that same day, stayed in late, and made us realize how affordable this house really was, and with our income, we could most definitely afford our dream home. Almost in tears, we signed the paperwork and started the process of building this beauty.

It did not stop there, however. Tina continually kept in contact, updating us with every step of the process. There was even a point where the design studio made an error on our kitchen countertop, and even though I had already contacted them, she went out of her way and made sure to email everyone she could to make sure it would get fixed. All the way to our closing Tina was very helpful in answering any questions we had. She was very prompt on getting back to us, when it was an answer she had to find. Even to this day, a month after moving in, we continue to get messages, making sure everything is perfect, and that we are loving our new home.

We absolutely love Tina!!! She is the biggest reason why we chose highland homes as our builder!!! We actually considered checking out a few other builders including LGI, prior to seeing this model home and could've after realizing that we could afford building a new home. Tina, however, sold us on all the benefits to building with Highland Homes, including designing the home at the design studio.

Above all the wonderful benefits, and the quality in which Highland builds their homes, we made our decision because of Tina! She is a quality person! You don't find people like her, who love what they do, love the company they work for, and love the people she gets to work with. We have thanked her over and over again, but it isn't enough. We had to share our experience as she should most definitely be recognized!! Thank you so much for your time, listening to our testimony, and hiring quality employees such as Tina!!

...When I started my home buying journey, I had no clue where to begin or any knowledge about the process. I started looking online for new housing construction and found Highland Homes. [Community Sales Manager] Ray went above and beyond to make this purchase and transition as smooth as possible, as we were moving from out of state... [Construction Manager] Kaleb was amazing; he did video walk-throughs for us. This is the first home I have purchased and I must say that Highland Homes couldn't have made the process any easier on me. From my sales representative, the design studio assistant, the construction manager, to the warrantee [sic] manager... Everyone has treated me like family, not as $$$ (except for the bank).

My sales rep and construction manager were constantly in contact with me, notifying me of each and every stage of my home and the following steps to come.

I met with my design studio assistant via video as at that time I was living in NY. She was very friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and very patient with me... Super helpful!

After moving into the house, I did notice a few things I was not happy with. 1- The direction in which the sliding door opened, 2- The floor/cement in the lanai was not polished. It did not have a smooth finish. It was a very rough/sandy cement. 3- The garage's floor was also not polished/smooth. This is when I had the opportunity to meet Mr. Don Barnes. He is such an amazing person. He's the type of person that would bend his back and break it if he had to in order to make you happy. Mr. Barnes took care of all the issues above for me. He exceeded my expectations.

I have a brand new home (with warrantee) and I have met great people along to way. This is why I feel very blessed. Thank you, Highland Homes!

They [Community Sales Managers] were on top of everything. They kept us updated on the build progress (including pictures) and if we had an issue, it was dealt with and resolved within the first 24 - 48 hrs.

First and foremost, my wife and I wish to state how excited we are to be embarking on building a new home. This new home will be a part-time abode but an opportunity to totally enjoy our time in Florida as snowbirds... [W]e were somewhat hesitant and concerned about purchasing a house sight unseen and depending on people we are neither familiar with nor in close proximity to. We proceeded none the less. I wanted to take this opportunity to share with you our experience at the Design Center. 

First off, never, not once, did Sarah rush us, try to persuade nor discourage any choices we were making. She offered suggestions but in a manner that was just that, something to consider. We never felt overwhelmed or directed in any direction. She respected our choices and made us feel like we were working with a friend. That’s an incredible feeling. We spent just over 2 hours working with her but did not leave exhausted as it could have been. No, we left excited! And a good part was because she made us feel like we had made good choices and that’s a good feeling. Keep in mind that we were tired upon entering the center as we had just driven nearly 1400 miles to get there! 

The purpose of this email is to reflect upon the expertise, friendliness, and concern that Sarah afforded us as we undertook this particularly important and exciting time in our life. I know that people love to share their emotion and reactions when things don’t go as well as hoped or expected but fail to share when it goes well. Buying a home is a stressful experience. And for us it was especially stressful because we are a same sex couple, and sometimes people are[n't] the friendliest or accepting so you never know what you are walking in to. We did not have a realtor, but after meeting and talking with Gene I honestly felt like I didn't need one. He said that the model was for sale and would be available within 2 months. So we jumped on it.

Gene has been wonderful through this whole process. I find it hard to put in to words, what his support, kindness and generosity has meant to us. Highland Homes has treated us amazing. I could not have asked for a better experience. We absolutely love the house. We wouldn't change anything about it. But what really stood out is how Highland Homes really, truly cares about people. It is evident in everything they have done for us. I would never be able to say enough good things about Highland Homes. I will always be a huge fan. I will always be grateful.
